This morning, a change in plans was made that would benefit our group still, and was highly interesting. We were going to check out Mammoth Cave, but there was no availability for the cave tours. Instead of just giving up on doing anything during the time slot, we researched different options for the morning. We made the decision to go to the Louisville Zoo instead. In my opinion, the zoo was a much better choice than Mammoth Cave, but it would be interesting to come back once the restrictions in place from COVID-19 are lifted.
The zoo was quite big compared to what I’m used to. Though there were still many exhibits that I’ve gotten the chance to view in other places, there was more of a variety in the animals kept there. As an animal lover myself, except for snakes and sharks, my immediate reaction whenever I saw a large cat or any of the creatures was the desire to pet or hold them. That’s probably not the best thing to do when handling creatures who could kill you in an instant, but I can’t help my heart’s love for them!

I’ll continue updating as I go, until the next time, take care!
